Landscape Astronomy I-VI

Landscape Astronomy is a digital photo series made in conjunction with Megalo printmaking collaboration project. Using the same sourced imagery from Arkaroola and Flinders Ranges, Australia, and expanding upon the visual similarities between land and sky / micro and macro / terrestrial and celestial, these images place earthen sediment into the perceived lens of a telescope. This six image series alludes to galaxies and nebulae out of reach from the human eye, but upon closer inspection, the images shift scale and are recognizable for what they are: rocks, ground, earth.

This project was included in the Manifest International Photography Annual 6, 2019 publication: http://www.manifestgallery.org/inpha/inpha6/
