Land Maps 1-16 + Aligned with the Milky Way

Land Maps and Aligned with the Milky Way trace the ancient pilgrimage route of the Camino de Santiago across northern Spain. After walking this pilgrimage myself, and tracing the land by foot, the 1000 kilometer journey transformed into a physical drawing across the landscape. Now removed from landmarks and indications, the raw line of this path speaks to the personal and collective experience of a pilgrimage that has existed for over 1,000 years. The lines traced across the earth commune with the contemplative lines of the meditation drawings, merging the internal and collective experiences through gesture, line, and embedded memory. The path of the Camino is said to follow the laylines of the earth below and aligned with the Milky Way above. Lines drawn, lines walked, and lines felt - every line holds an untold story within it.
